Northern Star is implementing a project to develop the Syradasaiskoye deposit. Coal mining and production of coal concentrate from coking coal will be organised 110 km southeast of the settlement of Dikson in the Taymyr Dolgano-Nenetsky District of Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The project involves the development of one of the world's largest coal deposits, Syradasaiskoye. Its resources are estimated at 5 bn tonnes. The main targets for the project are an open-pit coal mine and the coal refinery.

The implementation of the Syradasaiskoye deposit project started in 2020. All facilities of the cluster have undergone an environmental impact assessment and received a positive expert appraisal from Glavgosexpertiza, which has allowed the project to move on to the implementation phase.

The refinery will produce marketable coal concentrate with an output of 60–70% of the grades KZh (Coking-Fat), K (Coking), KO (Coking-Lean) and ash content of up to 10%
